Staking Out Steak

Since day one, when we started contemplating the menu, we always knew we would have a good juicy Angus Steak (or 2 or 3). We wanted to include items we would eat, items we thought you would enjoy, items we knew we could do well. Steaks encompass all these things. So it was a surprise to us when January 1st rolled around and we opened without a single steak on the menu. We were on a "Steak Out", looking for the right cut of meat at the right price. Leave it to David to find a way to bring flavorful Handcut Strip and Ribeye Steaks to the menu at only $15.99. It's a quality product at a price you can enjoy, served with a side salad and your choice of vegetable.

The Sweet Sounds of Music

You told us you wanted it. We told you it was on the way. So I am very happy to say that the sweet smooth sound of music has arrived at My Place. Satellite Radio was delivered Thursday and installed Friday in plenty of time for our dinner guests to enjoy. What a difference a little background music can make when your gathered around the table with good friends and great food.

When you start with good stuff...

When you start with fresh quality ingredients it doesn't take a lot to make great tasting food. For example start with fresh Atlantic Salmon, grille with a squeeze of lemon and a dash of pepper, add to that a side of sauteed vegetables and you have a meal that's both delicious and nutritious. This is the way we like to cook at My Place using quality ingredients, cooked to order and served straight from the grille.

What is a DeLuxemBurger ?

Take our Classic Burger, a Half Pound of Certified Angus Beef cooked to medium with Mayo, Mustard, Lettuce, Tomato, Pickle and Onion, and add to that Smoked Bacon, Sautéed Mushrooms and Swiss Cheese and you have more then just a Deluxe Burger. You have a DeLuxemBurger. Named as much for it's toppings as for it's sheer size the DeLuxemburger approaches the size of a small European country. No passport required for this taste adventure, just a hardy appetite.

Kid Favorites

Our initial bear bones menu didn't have a specific section for kids. Well that's about to change. By popular demand we added the following items, all kid tested and approved. For just $4.99 the following meals are all served with fries and a drink.



Luv Me Tenders - Chicken Tenders Hand Breaded and Fried Golden

Kiddy Catfish - Catfish Hand Breaded and Fried

Grilled Cheese - Grilled Sour Dough Bread with American Cheese


Other menu items popular with those big and small include the Frankburger an all beef frank and a half served on a sour dough bun with mustard and sautéed onions, and The Classic Burger topped with American cheese.

Although we have had a good response from applicants who have seen our Now Hiring signs when driving up and down US Highway 281, we are still looking for skilled Cooks and Servers to work all shifts. Applicants should have both the skills and desire to work for a growing new independently owned restaurant. Now Open
